How long does it take to refurbish a rubber roller?

We aim to complete the refurbishment of rubber rollers within two weeks.

How do I order the correct Alcolor pan roller for my Heidelberg press,half crown (low alcohol) or full crown (full alcohol)?

To order the correct Alcolor pan roller, take note of your serial number, as there may be variants across the ages. Then confirm the percentage of IPA you run.

If you run 5% or less, you need to order a half crown (low alcohol) pan roller and if you run 6% or more, you need a full crown (full alcohol) pan roller.

What products should I use to clean and protect my rubber rollers?

We offer a range of roller maintenance products to suit different cleaning needs. Here is a guide to help you choose the best product for your situation:

  • MRL Roller Cleaner (C-RC/1) is excellent for thorough cleaning during colour change applications. It removes all non-soluble deposits.
  • Lube Clean(M-480) gently deep cleans and rejuvenates rollers while lubricating rollers on idle printing units.
  • MRL Quick Colour Change Paste (C-RC2/1) is ideal for speedy colour changes. It quickly removes previous printing ink, and the paste itself washes off the rollers in a short time frame.
  • MRL Roller Shampoo (C-RS/1) removes stubborn stains and revives rubber.
  • MRL De-Calcifying Gel (CS-DCG/1) is a specialist cleaning gel designed to remove calcium carbonate deposits from rollers while subtly conditioning them.
Can you supply rubber rollers for other brands such as KBA, Komori, Ryobi, Roland, etc.?

Yes! We can do rubber rollers for KBA, Komori, Ryobi and Roland. In some cases, we can offer exchange rollers for these brands but in most instances it would be on a recover basis.

Are your rubber rollers made to the same standard as brands like Bottcher?

Our rubber rollers are manufactured to the same standard as those supplied by Bottcher.
