ELKALUB LA 8 is a highly viscous special lubricant which at the same time possesses an excellent creeping ability. ELKALUB LA 8 is mainly intended for the lubrication of highly loaded chain transmissions. The very adhesive film with EP and boundary lubrication capabilities, which is formed by ELKALUB LA 8 is extremely resistant against centrifugal forces and pressure. ELKALUB LA 8 is recommended or prescribed by leading printing press manufacturers. ELKALUB LA 8 is used straight for all types of chain transmissions or as an additive (5-20 %) for mineral oils for all points of lubrication which need a particularly adhesive type of lubricant. ELKALUB LA 8 has an anti-noise effect. Examples for application: Delivery chains, guide rails, eccentrics, gripper opening curves, open gear wheels, chain guideways.
ELKALUB LA 8P is a product based on our special lubricant ELKALUB LA 8. Although it appears to be very solid at rest, it has a very good penetration ability under motion and is well conveyable in central lubrication units. Compared with ELKALUB LA 8, we were able to rise the upper temperature limits considerably and ameliorate the behaviour of centrifugation. This is of advantage for delivery chains in highly charged printing presses under the influence of higher temperatures. Applications: Cam plates, delivery chains, open cogwheels, eccentrics and guide rails.
ELKALUB LA 8 H1 is a product based upon our well-known ELKALUB LA 8. However, ELKALUB LA 8 H1 offers an increased protection against wear and considers the regulations for the use in the food industry. It is adhesive, resistant against centrifugal losses, penetrates well into gaps and offers a good protection against corrosion. The viscosity of ELKALUB LA 8 H1 has been lowered a bit as compared with ELKALUB LA 8. By that, we take into account the increasing use of paper powder in printing presses. In spite of this, the spin-off behaviour of ELKALUB LA 8 H1 is better in the higher temperature range. As compared with ELKALUB LA 8, we managed to extend the operation temperature range. Examples for application: Disk cams, delivery chains, open gear wheels, eccentrics and guide rails.
